Okay, not really, seeing as bookishness is my forte.
I have a mound of journal scribblings that are slowly winding into a post that will either be insightful or whiny. I'll let you be the judge when I post this weekend (hopefully I will be able to form full sentences by this weekend!).
Until then have a bookish survey:
What kind of book are you most comfortable reading?
I am most comfortable reading classic novels. I look forward to the colder months when I can hibernate under an expansive quilt with books like The Moonstone by Wilkie Collins or The Count of Monte Cristo by Alexandre Dumas.
What kind of book do you love to hate?
I love to hate horribly written Christian fiction or "genre" Southern writing. Basically anything full of cheesy dialogue churns my stomach.
What was the last book you surprised yourself by liking?
I was surprised that I like Twilight. I did have issues with the kissy-romance garbage, but on the whole, I liked the story and thought it well-written.
What was the last book you surprised yourself by disliking?
I really wanted to like Atonement. I tried reading it earlier in the year and the entire time I kept thinking that it seemed like "my kind of book;" there was plenty of tension and well-drawn characters, but from page one I had the feeling that SOMETHING BAD WAS GOING TO HAPPEN and it annoyed me.
What book would you take with you if you suspected you might be marooned in the near future?
The Count of Monte Cristo. It is one of my most favorite books! Besides it is crazy long and would give me inspiration for how to survive being marooned. Who knows, perhaps I would turn out to be the Bryonic hero of the day!
What forces you to read outside your comfort zone?
Well they don't force me, but I find friends help me to read outside my comfort zone. Some friends urge me towards YA, graphic novels, manga, comics, non-fiction, and huge classics. I think of it as a reading support system that inspires me.

I agree with you about the Christian fiction (which you know from my answers!). I've never read The Count of Monte Cristo, but I know lots of people who have raved about it, so I should give it a try one day ...
