Let's completely ignore the fact that I only read THREE BOOKS in March. Instead let's revel in my huge and quite impossible reading pile for April! As you can see, Beau is looking off to the side, silently communicating with Hope that Mom is out of her wits.
This isn't too daunting in that I'm already in the midst of six of the 13 books. Okay, that's what I'm going to tell myself. With a pile like this I think I'll cut the chit-chat and get to reading!

Do you have a reading schedule? Like, ten pages out of each book or something along those lines?
I have a sorta kinda reading plan. I try to read at least 50 pages a day from a novel on days I work and 100 pages on days I'm off work. I read a short story on my lunch break or if I have trouble sleeping at night. On the weekends I try to dip into an essay (for example, I'm picking through Madwoman) and I try to dip into a graphic novel on the weekends. I have an essay collection, short story collection, graphic novel, and one or two regular (novel or nonfiction) going at the same time. I have reading ADD!
Holy moly, girl! I am doing good if I read a page some days. I am trying to make more of an effort, though.
Very cool. I have Logicomix and Comic Book Tattoo on my list too. :)
What is the big fat red one on the left and which Persephone is that?
The big fat red one is Gubar and Gilbert's The Madwoman in the Attic. And the Persephone is Good Evening, Mrs. Craven by Mollie Panter-Downes.
I think you have plenty of excuses for not reading more. Are you falling asleep when you do try to read? That happened to me all the time when I was pregnant.
I hope this works for you, as long as you can rest in the process.
That is one impressive list and one gorgeous cat. My goal is too read 13 books this year. I'm impressed by your efforts.
