Amanda and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad WEEK

What Sucked:
  1. On Monday I was at Publix picking up some milk while Hope was out with Inky Darcy and slid in a puddle of milk and fell right on my ass. My tail bone still aches.

  2. On Tuesday I had my monthly "the-rent-is-due" panic attack.

  3. On Wednesday -- okay -- Wednesday was good.

  4. On Thursday I had my ass handed to me by my super-nice boss which was upsetting and unexpected. Then I took an early lunch so I could wept despondently over my failure as a professional. I moped over to Wal-mart to pick up a few things. I went to smell some body wash to make sure that it wasn't too frou-frou and accidentally squirt body wash up my nose. It burned and I couldn't get the taste out of my mouth the rest of the day.

  5. Also on Thursday I found out that my Granny -- my dad's mother -- is in the hospital and isn't doing too well. Dad went up to be with her, but she is unable to breathe on her own. I haven't seen her in over 12 years and she has never seen Hope. That side of the family doesn't value family.

  6. Then, also on Thursday, I threw-up my dinner from a combination of crying too hard and the fucking soapy taste in my sinuses and mouth.

  7. On Friday I got to have my annual pap smear -- which is uncomfortable and embarrassing. What is worse is when the doctor says "hooray... you've lost 31 lbs since last year and over 100 lbs total since 2004. Now you need to lose 100 more lbs before you even think of having more babies."

  8. Today I have been exhausted at work and was moody -- for no damn reason -- around Inky Darcy. I just woke up irritable and weepy.

Things that have made this week bearable:

  1. Hope told me I was the prettiest mommy ever.

  2. My cat has been cuddly.

  3. Inky Darcy has spent time with me this week and kept the kisses flowin'.

Reasons why tonight will be awesomely blissful:

  1. After work (at 6:30p.m.) I am going home to change into some comfy jeans.

  2. Then off to the Thai restaurant.

  3. Delicious Thai food ... yummy... and the waiter is hot*

  4. After Thai food I'm planning on spending an evening on the couch with a comic book, the cat, yarn, and some DVDs.

  5. Speaking of yarn, my craft area is super organized now and has me in the mood to make new things! I will post some picks as soon as I can!
