Baby Update

At 3:30 this morning the cat wouldn't leave me alone.  Beau knocked things off my nightstand and nuzzled his wet nose in my face.  I finally decided to get up and went to the bathroom to pee.  When I was in the bathroom I realized I was bleeding.  For a second I was in shocked disbelief.  Then I started crying and went to wake up Sam.  We woke up a sleepy Hope and headed out for the hospital.

I had an exam, bloodwork, and an ultrasound.  Luckily the baby is fine, they even detected butterbean's teeny heartbeat.  The doctor said I had a "threatened miscarriage" so I'm on bedrest for the next three days.  Hopefully all is well now.

This morning was terrifying and upsetting.  I am absolutely smitten with this baby and couldn't imagine butterbean not being a part of our life.  I'm so thankful that everything is okay, but I'm still nervous and very shaky.

As I'll be on either the couch or the bed until I go back to work on Tuesday, I'm hoping to get some serious reading done.  Maybe this will be a bedrest mini-readathon?

Huges hugs for you, Amanda. I know how scary that must've been, and I'm sending all the good mojo your way that I can muster. Take it easy, and enjoy some relaxing reading time.
