- Black Hills by Dan Simmons
- Stories: All New Tales edited by Neil Gaiman
- The Story of Britain: from Romans to the Present by Rebecca Fraser
- Ghostwalk by Rebecca Stott
- The Way We Live Now by Anthony Trollope
Pretty good haul.
I should provide a synopsis, but instead I'll let you click on the GoodReads links! I'm tired and anxious to plop myself on the couch with a book. Atticus has been sick all week and this mama is too sleepy to think.
I leave you with this link for the trailer to The Woman in Black. I. CANNOT. WAIT.

Curious what you'll think of the Gaiman-edited story collection. Looks aweeesome!
How coincidental that you checked out the Story of Britain book. I have just ordered that very book for myself from the library. I am actually English, but it seems like a lot of my (english) education was spent studying other countries and their history so I feel as though I have some gaps I need to fill. This book got some pretty good reviews so am looking forward to it.
Heard it was quite chunky (i.e. lots of pages) so will have to see if that intimidates me (as it usually does).
Just thought it was cool that you have checked out the same title as me.
(And it sucks about your library.)
