New Week! Whoot!

Last week I felt as if I were on a blogging roll. Two long posts that I actually took time to construct. So what happened? Basically, I had a hellish week at work, a period directed by Quentin Tarantino, sleepless nights because I'm not used to Sam working third shift, and complete and utter depression. I'm also incredibly paranoid about H1N1 (swine flu). I've been reading all this preventative literature and guidelines for library responses. Several students on campus have been quarantined due to flu-like symptoms and I think there is only so much Purell and Clorox wipes can do. I have a headache and sore throat and Hope has a cough. Of course, I do have bad allergies in September, but I can't help thinking that we will both be struck with the flu. And then Sam will get it. I think if I were to miss a week's worth of work I would blow my brains out. What a huge pile up of work I would have *shudder*. So fingers and eyeballs crossed that this is simply a cold or allergies.

But I digress -- there were a few awesome highlights in my week. For example I received several letters from friends and this lovely package was in the mail. I thought it was lost as Shannon mailed it several weeks ago, but here he is looking handsome.

I've also enjoyed the rain. Perfect reading weather. Today I went to lunch and Borders with mom and Hope. In addition to buying Hope 3 books, I picked up Victorian London and Little Dorrit. Does anyone notice a theme here?

That's all for now; I'm planning on having a good week this week despite the sniffles and work stress.

that owl is freaking rad! and i've got the same issues/symptoms. one of the guys spencer hangs out with at church, his sister has swine flu... 2 degrees of separation makes me nervous. apparently, there's been 20 cases at UGA so far, and i'm trying not to freak out about my allergies.
