Lemon Blueberry Loaf Cake

Last night I baked to my heart's content.  I think I probably spent a good 4 hours in the kitchen.

I made a new recipe; Lemon Blueberry Loaf Cake.  I found it on one of my favorite baking blogs, Cookie Madness.

I doubled the recipe to make two loaves.  The one I made for work disappeared quickly.

This cake is very much like a poundcake:  moist, dense, and perfectly sweet.  2 Sticks of butter, a cup of sour cream, and 6 eggs makes this a decadent dessert, but it isn't too heavy.  The lemon and blueberry combo gives it a very bright summery flavor.  I didn't add the glaze and I thought it wonderfully tasty without it.

I also whipped up some Peanut Butter Bars:

And more Earl Grey Cookies:
